Hi everybody!

I was just wondering if a student from a civil law country intending to do an LLM in the UK and not to focus on purely international law courses should do some serious preparation before the beginning of the course...

I personally followed some comparative law courses explaining the general principles of common law, and an introduction to American law.

Do you think it should be wiser to prepare a bit more to understand common law principles? Have you some advice to offer on the way of preparing oneself in particular?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!
