Stuck with Warwick

sayaks

Hi all

Am Sayak from India and all set to head to Warwick this September for my LLM in International Economic Law.
I had applied for University accommodation(TOCIL) within the due date but have been informed that the place is over-booked and I have to do with an off-campus acco.
In such a case I want to stay in nearby Coventry. Are there other students who would be interested in sharing an acco in Coventry with me?I want to stay as close to the campus as possible.Saving pounds is my mantra.

This may not help Sayak (judging from the date her note was posted) but in the event anyone else is contemplating doing an LLM at Warwick and is having difficulties with accomodation, staying in Coventry does save you some time in traffic, but I would recomend staying in Leamington Spa (particularly North/Central). Some may consider the area somethat posh or up-scale (although not necessarily reflected in rents), but its a thriving small city with a reasonably good night life, lots of descent restaurants and some shopping (supposedly good but was never convinced). And you'll have trains to London leaving abt once every hour. Warwick University is taking on a lot of students (in particular international students which provides for a very strong internatinal community, see www.oneworldweek.net) but accomodation is sparse (in particular campus accomodation) and it is not unheared of that students are without accomodation at the start of term.

Hi Marcholm

First of all I am a guy and and not a 'her' :-)

I am living in Coventry right now :-(

Coventry is dead man.It is worse than a small town in India.

But cannot change my accommodation now.(Sigh!)

My sincerest appologies Sayaks.

As as far as Coventry is concerned, there is a saying that if you want to send someone to hell, you send them off to Coventry. Sadly, it's not entirely unfounded.
