Shortly I will be requesting references from two of my former lecturers; one of whom was my dissertation supervisior and the other my seminar tutor/module leader on Company Law - semester 2. I have obtained instructions from Leeds Uni Law School on what is required in my references however I'm slightly confused. On the instructions it reads (inter alia);
'Two references, both academic and at least one of whom should be able to give us evidence of your performace at your highest level of academic study...'
I'm quite sure my lecturers will have completed many LLM references however should they ask does this mean that my dissertation supervisor submit an extract from my dissertation and my Company tutor my Company Law exam or Company Law assignment to satisfy this requirement?
Any advice on those applying or of whom already have applied would be greatly appreciated

No. I think it means that they should know enough about the quality of your work to comment meaningfully on your ability to complete an LLM. I would have thought your dissertation supervisor would be in this position.
