Posted Dec 10, 2008 06:28
did u speak to them recently ?
Posted Dec 10, 2008 17:29
yes and they told me they won't reply before the end of Jan!
Posted Dec 11, 2008 02:20
they have put in a new computer system which is possibly giving them a lot of teething trouble

Can I ask what is your profile and to which LLM have you applied to?
Posted Dec 11, 2008 08:08
i am a lawyer and i have applied for IP

Do you have any idea on QM acceptance criterions? is it hard to secure an admission there?
Posted Dec 12, 2008 06:00
from what i know and from the last year threads and blos, it seems that getting into QM is possibly a tad easier. having said that, it possibly also depends on the specialization you have indicated. I suspect they would like to have a uniform distribution across specializations. If this is so, then cutoffs for high ranked specializations like IP ( Queen Mary IP is ranked no. 1 in this guide itself ) are likely to be higher.
Of course, all this is speculation....

Tamar, I applied to the LL.M. in Comparative & International Dispute Resolution.
There *is* an online application site, on http://www.prospects.ac.uk - you can create an online account and then apply to most of the major U.K. programs electronically. SOME of your information will need to be sent via hard copy, though (personal statement, transcripts, recommendations, etc.). When you have finished entering your basic application info, hit "submit" and then you'll be directed to a page where you can print out a cover sheet which you MUST include when you mail your documents.

I received a conditional offer on January 15 but they only confirmed me this by mail on January 23 because I wrote them asking about the status of my application.
I recommend you send them an email so you 'll know wether you have an offer or not before the letter arrives by post.
Good luck :)

PUCCA
I received an email from Queen Mary on 16th of December with the receipt of my application. Do you think it´s too early to ask them about the status of my application?
Cheers
