Dear friends,
I have a conditional offer from QMUL in corporate and commercial law...i have to get a 55% or above in aggregate...
im afraid mine will be a boderline case of 54.5%
Does anyone have any experience as to what happens then?
Is QMUL strict with it's entry requirements? Do I at all stand a chance?
I want to apply for the accommodation as soon as possible but with the above situation (my final results will come out in the month of june-july) when do I apply.
Is it a good idea to mail the law school or should I wait for my final results?
Please help!

I suppose you are entitled to apply for accommodation right after you have accepted the offer -- either conditional or unconditional. As bigdave069 has suggested, that is what you need to do immediately.
On the issue of whether QMUL would accept a border-line mark of 54.5% for the 55% requirement, I know of a comparable case of a student from my country who applied with a 69% mark (the normal minimum requirement for students from my country was 70%). Her application was successful, but that was nearly two years ago. I do not know if admission to QMUL has since become more competitive.

No you dont have to pay anything now for accomadation. Provided you accept your offer and apply for accomadation, they will require you to make a deposit somewhere in August.
I suppose by then you will know whether you want to go there or not..

Hey sippi18....i think you won't be having any problem in getting into QM with 54.5%. You'll definitely get through. Just keep your fingers cross'd and hope for the Best. Wishing you Good Luck.

Is anyone here happy with the communication of QMUL? I have received their notification of acceptance email in february but have not received their official acceptance letter by mail yet (It's been more than 2 months now and I live in continental Europe - not arôund the globe). I asked them twice by email what the case ist, but they never replied at all. However, since I also got into KCL and since I decided to join Columbia University in NYC, I do not care about this letter anymore...But still...at least an answer would sth that I would have expected.
