Have you thought about how to commute to Lincoln's from Mile End everyday? They dont have a shuttle bus or anything like that, which means five pounds a day for the tube!

Hi guys!! i had sent an email to the LLm coordinator regarding the same issue to which they replied that diff modules will be held at variety of locations...no course is location specific..plus if u see the sample timetable on the website it corroborates the same....since it doesnt matter where u stay, I prefer staying on campus to stay away from the hassle of bill payments.
Moreover, as far as commuting is concerned...u get something called oyester cards (like delhi metro cards) which makes travelling cheaper at discounted rates..plus we"ll be in middle of zone 1- zone 2 so we end up buying cheaper tickets, tickets for all 4 zones costs 5-6 pounds..also these cards make ur bus travelling free ( i m not sure, but with day pass its free)
as far as residence courts are concerned, the application doesnt require residence court preference, just the kind of room u want based on ur pocket!! accordingly they allot u rooms>>>

If you go the school of law website, you will see an llm sample timetable with classes taking place at lincoln inns, mile end and other locations... Click on the link "Postgraduate" (left menu), then "Graduate - Taught", then "LLM general and 18 specialisms", and finally "llm sample timetable"...

definitely ensuite room for me as well..my preference is hatton house. the only prob is the kitchen is too small there..at selincourt and all the kitchen and dinning area are quite spacious..lets see where do i get a room!!! after checking out the website i too was confused regarding the daily commuting from mile end to Lincoln's inn, but thru oyster cards and student concessions there, travelling cost wont bother too much...

when are you guys planning to leave for UK? the term starts from 21st sept i think!!!

Has anyone applied for a visa yet? I'm still left with all the formalities and my IELTS exam.. Once I'm through witht that I'll decide my date of departure. You got a very early offer Grishma! Hatton House is good with the bath tub and all, but pricey.I didnt see any adjoining balconies like Reet said, and I liked Maurice too.

yeah i had applied last dec.. so i got my offer pretty early too...i too have to fulfill my one condition left i.e submition of my final year results.. hopefully everything goes smoothly..

How long did it take for you to get the visa?

Hi..I am from Delhi and going to QMUL...will be giving my IELTS soon..I believe we can apply for the visa only after the conditions of offer (English language test in my case) are satisfied.

would anyone please give me any advice which law school is better for studying LLM in ICT Law?Queen Mary or Edinburgh? each has different approach and specialization, queen mary's specialization in ICT Law is LLM in computer and communication law, while edinburgh is LLM in innovation, technology and the law.

i'm quite confuse since edinburgh offers many interesting course, yet queen mary's location in london will be quite beneficial as well to study law. so, i would really appreciate if you could help me making a decision.

Hi! Firstly compare tthe moodules of both the courses...see which one interests u more!! Moreover, botth unis have their advantages...edinburgh being a top notch uni in scotland and qm being in london. I have read Smita Khera's profile, coordinator of programme at edinburgh uni and her work's quite impressive and CCLS at qm is again know for its IPR n IT....if uu wantt to go on brand name, edinburgh is anyday a better uni. So , my advice to u would be to compare the modules offered by both these unis and then make a decision.

so, are u also admitted at both unis? taken into account the quality of law school, which do u think is the best? i checked the guardian top uni, and qm law school is at 4th rank, while edinburgh is 13th. but, true, from the brand name uni of edinburgh is way much well-known compare to qm. do u think they are well-known for its quality?

i've never been to edinburgh before, so i have no idea if the location will be of beneficial to study law.

No I didn't get through Edinburgh, so I chose Qm...anyways I wanted to go London! Don't go on the ranking, its different everywhere. As far a quality is concerned, both unis are goood!! But as a place I would anyday prefer London. Edinburgh is a very small city, crazy expensive, no good public transport except cabs..but again its not easy to get through edinburgh uni,! Where r u from?

wow...that makes me even more confuse, considering the living expenses, a friend of mine who also studied at edinburgh told me the city is way expensive :(
while i can only depend on the living allowance the British Council provides me as a scholar

i'm from Indonesia by the way, maybe i should ask an education consultant from the BC.

How long did it take for you to get the visa?

you mean 3-4 months or weeks? mine will probably come out in July so I dunno when am I gonna apply for a visa!

Does anyone know if there is a date limit for sending in your completed conditions?
My grades wont be official until June 30th, after that I will also have to translate them officially before sending them.
