To pass the time, do any of you guys fancy helping me out? I'm filling in some pupillage applications and I am faced with a lovely question: "Persuade us: In no more than 250 words persuade us of a proposition of your choosing (other than that we should invite you to interview)"
I'm not really sure how to pitch it and what type of proposition to use! Does anyone have any advice?

Here comes another week of trepidation! Good luck!

They meet for another round this week (Thursday to be exact).
So we don't need to expect any results this week.
The earliest will probably next week, right?

If they are still sending out the results of the January rounds, someone might hear. Otherwise, the earliest should now be around after 24th..
In other words, we could get a decision in 5 minutes or in 2 months :).
Don't you just love this waiting? :):)

Proposition: "I deserve a place in Oxbridge" :)
No seriously: does it have to be law-related or can it be political or even some other topic?

News over on the studentroom is that someone received a cambridge offer this morning!
Posted Feb 09, 2009 22:45
So its seems. Let´s patiently wait for the clarification, for at this moment it is just noise. I mean, it says he/she received an e-mail, not an offer/rejection. Let´s see...

This person has got an offer.
Another post by this person says:
"Got my offer through this afternoon - still shaking in disbelief!!
Anyone have any idea how long colleges take to make decisions? Or is it one of those situations analogous to a 'piece of string'...."""""""
So he/she is in ! and he/she is a home student !
This is what I, Sherlock Cedric, could gather from his/her posts :)

Thank you, Cedric, I get it now, you are absolutely right. Well, the dice have been cast, and they continue to roll!

Hi Everyone! Have been following up this thread but this's my first post!
I've just received email notification from Suzanne Wade- it's conditional offer! However, my status remains as "Applicant" on the CamSIS...
Sigh...I am still in a state of disbelief...anyways, I still need to satisfy their English Language condition. IELTS 7.5 score is not easy for non-native English speaker like me!
AlvinSee- haven't seen your post for long time. Am really curious as to who you are, coz I'm Malaysian and I go for CLP classes as well!

Haha..I'm currently at work in Singapore and it's 11am now- just logged in my mailbox and saw the email from Suzanne. I think it was sent to me yesterday at around 2.30 pm (UK time).
I did call them up recently but not to inquire about the outcome. I found that on CamSIS, my second reference was still listed in the section of "Documents that you need to send us". As I am not in UK, my referee actually sent the reference directly to the school. I was a bit worried that reference went missing therefore I called them to ask about it; I was then assured by them that the CamSIS system was not up-to-date coz they were busy with loads of files.
I am waiting for the postage from Cam and I think only the letter from them in hard copy would make me believe all these!

Hey ZC, many congrats.
I am as my username shows. Since you are working in SIngapore, I'm assuming that you are doing distant learning?

And so you're Alvin. Haha, the class is so big and i know very few of my classmates...
I took the full time course but I only go for weekend classes (whenever I'm able to make it). I tend to skip a lot of classes too, LOL. It's not fun at all to travel to and fro KL...
