Oxford BCL - 2016

Jaded

Hello everyone, I am considering applying at the end of this year - by September. I am facing a huge mental block when it comes to drafting the SOP. Could anyone please thrown some light on what the SOP should contain? Further, what are the chances of getting fully funded by Oxford?

To put it simply:

- Why Law?
- Why the BCL?
- Why Oxford?
- Why you?

That should cover it. Oxford are pretty explicit about the Statement of Purpose, in saying that they attach far less weight to its importance than your grades, references and written work.

Best of luck!

Thanks so much! It is just that I am in such a fix and extremely apprehensive of my chances.

I am also considering applying to Harvard and Yale which require 'Personal Statements'.
