Tbh I think it just indicates whether they have made a decision on you as an applicant, be it offer/waitlist/rejection. We will only find out the result by e-mail so wouldn't panic if still a button nor cheer if no button anymore

The wait is so incredibly stressful. Couple of my seniors who got into Oxford in the past said that the button theory is not too accurate, so praying that offers come through for all of us waiting!!!

hi guys! BCL applicant here, can someone please share what the magic button is/ looks like? I did not check my portal until today, and cannot see any "upload" option on the supporting documents page? not sure what this means. 
any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi, so that is indeed the "magic button". There are some theories that if it disappears early/late you have a higher/lower chance of getting an offer but it does not appear waterproof at all.

Strugglng over this question. I also have a conditional offer from MCL. I think I'm gonna struggle til the day that I have to pay the deposit...

I believe that the BCL applicants will be receiving their offers/waitlisting on Friday and the button will keep on disappearing the whole of Thursday. This will coincide with what happened last week for the MLF. The buttons started disappearing on Wednesday and people got offers on Friday.
