Oxford 2021-2022 BCL/MSCs/MJUR/MPHIL/MLF Applicants

My "upload" button still appears on my self-service page. Honestly I wouldn't pay too much attention to this. Let's just check our emails and hopefully when someone receives a rejection or an offer can inform the rest of us. Best wishes to everyone!

This might be nothing at all, but I applied for both the MPhil and BCL. The upload button for the BCL is still there but has disappeared for the MPhil.

Hey there! I am an MJur applicant and my upload button disappeared. I also got an offer last year for the MJur, but I didn't notice the importance of this in particular, so I wouldn't be able to tell if it means something or not :)

Did you notice when it changed?

I am quite sure that Oxford releases offers first and then rejections a while later.
for BCL, DPhil, MPhil, and MJur, these results have not been released.
I suspect anytime from today (from 8am UK time) to Friday, we should be hearing offers being sent out

I think it changed in the middle of the night for me as it was still open yesterday :)

I think it’s a very good sign. Imagine if you’re a university, will you release your rejections or offers first? It definitely has to be offers first - you want to be able to project that you have xx no of students in this academic year

To be fair, Cambridge sent out rejections first and only released the majority of the offers after giving out the rejections. That's why I've always believed in 'no news is good news'. However, Oxford might be entirely different.

I do agree that no button appears to be a good thing after stalking some of the other forums tho. However, I'm trying not to feel too anxious about it as trying to decipher the meaning would only cause unnecessary anxiety. Just going to have to wait and see :)

What are the other forums? Did your button disappeared too?

I suspect for those who have an offer, the button will be gone because they will want you to prove the items you submitted for consideration is genuine - and you cannot be adding documents.
For rejections/waitlist, the system will just leave it open.
Seems more work on the admin team to go and change each specific profile. So it is likely they are only doing this for offers

I don't think so, because I have been rejected by MLF and the upload button has also gone, so if rejection, the system will not leave it open too.

which means if the upload button is gone, it is a rejection? Wow seems bad then

I think one logic is, if the button disappears, it means a decision has been made. Given Oxford sends out offers first then waitlists and rejections, so the buttons change first probably indicates the decisions for them are offers. But it also seems possible the other way around, because I got the MLF offer and my button is still there for MLF, though I never checked this before I got or the day I got the offer, as this is a pretty new mystery.

Nevertheless, my button is still there. I am preparing myself for the worst...

On my other applications, the button for submitting documents is left open so that you can upload your official degree certificates to to prove that you meet your offer.

My friend got accepted into one of the other programs (non-law) and she recounts that her button was disappeared before the decision was passed. So at this point, I think it is safe to say that it maybe just means that a decision has been reached, acceptance or rejection, (just like Echo777 said) and that we should not overthink this at all as it can go either ways.

Let's stay positive guys :)

This upload button mystery is very perplexing.
I’ve read the student forum also and there seems to be no definitive view on what the button means... waiting for two more days is insane.
