Hi community
IThis year I'm looking to apply for a LLM program in the energy sector: Oil & gas (in UK)
I just wanted to asked you: May anyone suggest me some good legal book regarding the aforesaid topic (oil & gas) from any UK university???
I'd like to read & learn about that topic before I join the LLM. If possible, not only focused in the UK legal system (I'm not british) but from a european or comparative or international point of view.
Many thanks!!

I had only find this one:
Oil and Gas Law - Current Practice and Emerging Trends
http://www.wildy.com/isbn/9781845861018/oil-and-gas-law-current-practice-and-emerging-trends-2nd-ed-paperback-dundee-university-press
http://www.dundee.ac.uk/dup/books/oil-gas-law/
But it seems to be only focused in the UK oil-gas sector.....
Any other idea??? more international, comparative about contracting and regulations

is the best one...most of the OG industry in Europe is in the NorthSea, so you have no way to escape reading UK OG law..The rest will be covered by energy law subjects (comparative law, EU energy policiy etc.) - no need to buy books, just read genela articles of the European pipeline routes, role of nuclear, major OG trading partners of the EU.

interesting, I do have the same questions too about general articles and energy portals.
I know the uni of Aberdeen has oil and gas law program and Dundee has Energy Law program (more general) but I am not sure if they both have a subject related with commercial contract or contracting (this is so practical)
are you applying for both schools?

I thinking on both schools
Aberdeen is cheaper but the program is extremely thin in my opinion
CEPMLP is more intensive but extremely expensive
Let seee..... by the way it seems nobody wanna help... :(

Well, there might be a certain reluctance on the side of the active participants to discuss the same issues over and over again. Aberdeen vs Dundee has been comprehensively discussed in the past, why not use the search function before complaining...

Thanks for your message flori but I was not asking for help regarding which university is better for this program, I just wanted to know:
- Some good energy portals, places to learn about Comparative Oil and Gas Law and Commercial Contracts
Just practical info
