Well, as far I know, a French diploma (DEA, Dess, Maitrise) should be sufficient. I remember a friend who went to King's College immediately after her DEA.
However, it could help if you have some distinctions ("mentions").
Let me know if more information is needed (I am French so it can help in your case I guess !).

I do my DEA now but i ve heard there is a lot of selection in prestigious universities such as King's or UCL. Do u know if its hard to be taken or if usually lots of students applying get in?

I am current ly in the UK to read for my LLM degree at UCL.
The selection is tough, but if you have 12/20 (ie mention AB), it should be fine, as I know a girl who had it and now is studying at KCL. To be honest, try really to secure a 13/20 so that you will have some very good probabilities to be taken.
I don't know excatly of how many applications there are each year. A lot I guess. But really, secure a mention AB and it should be fine.
Do not hesitate to ask others questions (or even MP) if more information is needed.
