Where have you been admitted? It's hard to say without knowing at least that... Anyway, both are master programmes and, in some cases, the MSc is a programme with a broader approach. A few universities (like Edinburgh) tend to offer MSc (instead of LLM) in the area of criminology for it has a different approach and uses many links with other social sciences.
