MSC Criminology and Criminal Justice Oxford

Dear all,

I'm interested in applying to the MSC Criminology and Criminal Justice course at Oxford for the 2011-2012 year. For those of you who have done this course (or other Oxford post grads) I have a question about references. I finished my undergraduate degree 4 years ago, and am only in touch with one former tutor who writes my academic references. Oxford asks for three. Does anyone know if they accept professional references who could comment on my suitability for the course? Would it help that some of my former employers/referees are academics in their field.

Maybe you better to contact with Admission Office? They will tell you. Actually I myself don't understand the importance and actuality of the references. I hate asking someone to give me a reference.
