Hi everyone,
I think I roughly know the difference between the two courses (LLM being a specialised law course). I am interested in doing international and environmental law. What would be the advantages and disadvantages or chosing to do an LLM or a Masters?
Ideally I would want to srudy in Madrid, though London is a possibility. Any suggestions and experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks.

I'll give you a couple
Advantage: you'd get a years worth of indepth, analytical and critical study on your chosen specialist subject area, allowing you to develop not only academic skills and knowledge, but also transfereable skills such as research, presentation and computer skills.
If you decide to go on to PhD then you've already met entry requirements with a successful LL.M
Disadvantages:
You will likely have to relocate and stop working if you are studying on-campus full-time (not so if you choose distance learning part-time). That can be expensive, and taking a year out of your career may not be a viable option for everyone.
Hope that helps a wee bit!
