I just recently graduated from my undergraduate program at the University of Michigan and I would like to get into a MA Human Rights program for the fall somewhere in London or in England. I am thinking about the programs at Essex, LSE, University College London, City College London and the Institute of Commonwealth studies. I know the deadline for Essex is June 15, but I am not sure about the others. Does anybody know anything about these programs in terms of quality of the instruction and reputation of the program. I would like to eventually take the competitive professional exam for the United Nations in the area of human rights. Any help with be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am also really interested in the program at Essex. If you have found out any more information (or if anyone else can provide some), I would be very grateful.

If you dont have a proble with studying in Irl. Then Queens University Belfast has a very strong and reputed human rights LLM and MA. Do check it out. I am going for a LLM in human rights at UCL.

Out of the UK and the Europen Union, the University of Ottawa has a very interesting Master's program focused on Human Rights. The Faculty of Law benefits from the prestigious Human Rights Research and Education Centre at the uOttawa.
Well, I've heard that the program is one of the best in Canada. And if you think that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was first drafted by a Canadian (John Peters Humphrey)... maybe it is also worth thinking about the tradition of Canada in the subject.
I am from Brazil and am moving to Ottawa in August. My focus is on Law & Technology, but I will be exploring the interplay between authentication technologies and human rights. And as the uOttawa has undoubtedly the best LLM in Law and Technology in Canada, I have only good reasons in support of my choice.
But London is always London... and I whish you the best of luck in your applications!
Cheers.
