I've been offered a place at the University of Bristol's M.A. in Legal Studies course (see http://www.law.bris.ac.uk/courses/mals.html). This is a two-year conversion course for non-law graduates. Does anyone have any opinion on this program or generally about Bristol's law school?
Thanks,
Roger

i think its good if ...
your an international student , took your Undergraduate degree in law from an international unversity(outside Uk) but planing to work in england . Its an alternative for the CPE( the certifcate the qualifies you to practice in england as i understood) but its a 2 years program , and the CPE is a 1 year program only ... this is probably better than the CPE , but still there is 1 year more ..
anyway if its a master degree in law that you want , i would prefere an LLM , but if your taking this so you can understand the english law system , and practice( work) in england afterwards then its good
Anyway , where you from if you dont mind my question ?

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply. I'm from Bahrain. I did an undergraduate degree in commerce in Canada, graduated seven years ago and have been working since. I applied to the CPE but it seems too compressed so I'd rather spend an extra year studying subjects in more depth.
As far as I know, the only LLM degree open to non-law graduates is at Leeds, which I also applied to (still waiting for an answer). Do you know of others?
Thanks,
Roger
