LSE LLM deadline

Does anyone know if LSE has a set deadline for LLM applications? It's not clear from their website as far as I can tell. Thanks.

I noticed the same thing. I gather from past board posts that for sy 2005, LSE's deadline was in january. However for this coming sy, LSE's website does not indicate a particular date for a deadline but merely asks that the applicant to check if the program is still open before submitting an application.

Hope somebody can shed more light on this topic as I will be able to send my app only after the Christmas break.

FYI I know of one person who applied on 1/2 Jan 2004 and was put on a wait list. If you can get it in before Christmas do.

The deadline is January 6, 2006 if I am not wrong. I am applying myself and hope to get my references back next week so that I can submit application before Christmas.

Thanks for the clarifications you guys. I'm gonna try to fix the mixup with my reccomendations for lse and two other other unis next week. fortunately i've already obtained recos for three other unis wihtout a hitch so if i can't fix the LSE batch, I have other fall back applications.

It would be great though if i could get a chance to submit the others. LSE is among my top choices.

Incidentally, fever, forgive me for my ignorance but where in the LSE site does it state that Jan 6 is the deadline? I'm having a hard time finding it. Thanks in advance!

The 6th January 2006 deadline does not exist. I contacted LSE Graduate admissions myself (and I applied to the LLM there) and they told me that on the contrary to what happened last year (when there was a January 31st deadline), there is no deadline this year and you can apply as long as the course is not full (on the avaiability of programmes page)

Quote from the LSE LLM webpage:
You must apply early. Applications open on 17 October 2005. Departments will begin to consider these applications from 14 November. The first decisions will be released from late January 2006 onwards. There is intense competition for admission. Early applications have a greater chance of being successful and of meeting financial support/scholarship deadlines.

Yes that was my first impression from the apparent lack of deadline coupled with the requirement of checking program availability before submitting the app. But I was not entirely sure as LSE is unique from all other unis i've enocuntered in this aspect. That Jan 6 deadline threw me off! Thanks fburnat and goodluck with your app :)

That date of January, which I mentioned, used to appear when I was filling out the online application. Now I checked - and there is no deadline now, which I am quite happy about. Good luck to you all!
