Really??? what about this 8 week thing?? are there any offers out or just rejections?

I am 22 and I have also applied to LSE. It is actually my first choice. I was wondering about the 8-week period,too. Possibly it doesn't include Christmas period, which is almost 2 weeks, so that is why there is a delay concerning the answers. My 8-week period is to expire on 12 Jan, but I believe I' ll hear from them even later, maybe in the end of January.

My 8 weeks are up on the 11th of January - but if, as above, a two weeks delay applies, then maybe at the end of January...

Well, they did say it could take longer than 8 weeks in busier times, so I guess that was just an informative time frame, which they can easily disregard and just take whatever additional time they need to reach a decision. I do hope it won't take them too long, though.

Thanks Glasgowlaw and Morticia. I received an email. Then I went to the LSE for you website and there it said that I should accept or decline within six weeks from receiving the "offer set".

Hello everyone, I have submitted 3 references, two from my tutors and one professional, what do you think guys, does our references make a difference on our application? or its just a stupidity by giving them more than what they asked for? I still have to apply for UCL and KCL.

Congrats Siegfried on your offer! When did you submit your application? I was wondering, did you fill out the Graduate Support Scheme Form? Does anyone know whether it is mandatory to fill out that form before an offer can be made? I started filling it out and then decided i didn't need to...so i was wondering whether that could be the hold up on receiving a decision?

Thanks Kiara. I havent submitted the support scheme form so I believe it is not necessary for receiving an offer.

Application went complete on the 11th of November.

Not sure why I got rejected!

And I just received an offer by mail. LSE for you is updated as well.

BTW, I received confirmation that my application was complete on the 7th of December, so in certain circumstances it may take considerably less than eight weeks before you receive an answer.

Guys.. do you have any idea how many total places are there in LSE for LLM applicant? I hope enough are remaining for our admissions!!

Thanks virdi, the conditional includes a degree requirement, as well as a toefl requirement of 109 which is odd because they had earlier said that it was 114. Luckily enough I have a 114 so not too fussed abt that anyway! And I believe there are about 210 places(correct me if I'm wrong).

George, thanks for your reply, even I am from India, but I am doing my undergraduate from London, so they have categorised me as an international prospective student, but they haven't mentioned anything about TOFEL or IELTS, may be they will do if only they give me a conditional offer letter, and George did they asked for certain percentage of marks in your conditional offer letter? Thanks !!
