Hey guys

I'd like to start a thread where people who have received offers (whether or not conditional) from the Cambridge LLM programme can share information with the rest of us who are waiting with excitement, and hopefully we can exchange thoughts and answer each other's questions throughout the process.

For those who have been made an offer, could you, at your kind discretion, let us know the date of the offer, and briefly about about its detail or condition, and if you will, your background ie where you are from, age, when did you apply, your proposed field of studies, GPA, work experience, awards and distinctions etc.

I was very excited to receive an offer this morning (I'm in Australia, so it would have been sent on Monday at some point in the UK). I'm happy to help if I can...

My offer is conditional, but I believe that all LLM offers are (for example, you have to be able to prove that you are able to finance your studies before you will receive a formal offer). I'm not sure what my conditions are, because these weren't given in the email. I understand I will discover these in the package that apparently will be sent to me shortly.

As for my background, I graduated from uni a few years ago and have been working since then, for a Judge and for a law firm. I graduated in the top couple of people from a very good law school in Australia and was awarded a number of academic prizes. I have a fair bit of community service and extracurricular activities to my name, but no publications (as such).

seems to me that Cambridge is starting to make offers now on a broader basis. I belong to the happy ones who just received an offer;)

As for my background: top 1-2 % at a leading law school in Germany; several academic scholarships; only some work experience; currently pursuing a phd.

Also got a conditional offer on Monday, as before conditions will be in letter to follow. Currently final year under grad law at Cambridge.

Hi.. I applied early November online. I'm from the Caribbean, did an LL.B, got a first and is currently finishing up the C.L.E which is the equivalent of the UK's BVC and LPC courses combined. I have a few publications, and a few awards..including being shortlisted for the Rhodes last year.. minimal work experience..( only during summers)

Oh.. got my offer Feb 16.

Could anyone please tell me what is the deadline for us to accept/decline/defer an offer from Cambridge?

I've received an offer last week via e-mail. As you all probably know, it only states that "the BGS will set a deadline by which you must respond, and will give details of how you should formally accept of decline the offer".

Based on last year posts, the formal letter may not arrive until 4-6 weeks from now on. Plus, my Camsis has not been updated yet.

I would appreciate if anyone can give me a rough information. Thank you!
