LLM International Law Glasgow / Queen Mary

Hi evryone !!

I got accepted for LLM in International Law in both Glasgow and Queen Mary. Don't know which one to choose !!!

QM seems to be higher ranked, and especially good in Commercial Law. Does it have the same reputation for the LLM in IPL??
Fees at QM are high so I just want to be sure to do the right choice!!

Any advice???!!! Thanks !

Hi Louise,

Indeed QM may have higher fees, but has a better programme and more than that after you graduate you will have better emplyment possibilities. I you have the financial issue resolved do not hesitate about QM over Glasgow. On the other hand if money is a primary concern, go ahead to have your llm in glasgow its a good school and you will have your master degree.

best,

The International Law programme at the University of Glasgow is complemented by guest speaker events and research workshops, allowing students to get involved with leading academics from outside Glasgow. There is also an annual trip to The Hague in April 2013 the students visited the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) amongst other places.

Thank you for your answers !!

Actually my main priority is employment opportunities. I mean I am ready to do the financial sacrifice if it is worth it !

I don't really know how to evaluate which university would offer me the best possibilities with regard to Public International Law... Best prof ? Ranking ?

oslyb do you know talk about the LLM in Internation Public Law or Queen Mary reputation in general ?

By the way, I got accepted to Edinburgh (LLM International Law) which makes the choice even harder...

QM's got to be the better choice for you.

It has a great LLM programme and I think would be the better option all round.

Good luck in whatever you choose.

QM have a great reputation in Commercial law including the field you're interested in.

The have lectures given by world renouned practitioners and professionals and can safely say they have enough scope module wise to give you plenty of choice and possibly also consider other avenues.

Good luck

No Graham... wish i did have a job lol!

That's just stuff you can find on their Web page.

I often find it amazing that people don't look into these things better. hence the reason I've posted this.

Good luck Louise
