Mine changed today to Under Review!

Still waiting for mine to change! They must be steadily working through the applications. :)

From what I gathered after reading previous years' threads, they seem to arrange your surnames alphabetically. Not quite sure though.

In last year's thread, someone found this pdf file explaining all the steps for admission/rejection:

Mine has changed to under review by department today also! Nervous now for the real wait to begin...

What modules/papers is everyone thinking of doing? Interested to see which seem most popular amongst applicants.

Mine is still on 'Submitted - Your application has been submitted.' My last name begins with W, so perhaps they're still working through alphabetically. Anyone else in same position?

My surname starts from S and it changed to under review yesterday. Give them 1-2 days and yours will change as well!

Hello all,

Today I received an email inviting me to apply for the Rowan Williams Studentship, if I receive or have received a conditional offer. Does this mean anything or it's simply standard practice?

I received the same email. I do not think that is indicative of a positive evaluation. It probably is the case that they will let you know if you are elegible for any scholarship, regardless of your actual chancws to get accepted.

My last name starts with O and my status changed yesterday! So I'd give a couple more days before getting worried :)

True. But the deadline, as per the mail, for the said scholarship, is 31 January 2020. So I am not sure what's exactly happening. Does this mean that the results would be out by then?

Thank you! I thought as much. I guess the deadline is only for the scholarship, the committee will take its own time to get back with a decision. The language seems to indicate if you have received an offer or when you receive an offer

Going by last year's thread, decisions were conveyed to the candidates between 15-25th February.

From last year seems they released in batches over a period of time. Don't think there's any apparent structure/reason for those that hear back first and those who hear back later.
