Hello,
Does anyone have experience of applying for an LLM some years after undergraduate study? I graduated last year, am currently doing an internship and am due to start the BVC this September. I know that I'd like to do a graduate programme, perhaps in the next 3 years or after securing pupillage. I just want to know if universities in the UK or the US would accept academic references from a BVC tutor, or whether they would require my reference from my undergraduate institution? Has anyone found other ways to address this issue? Any advice would be appreciated!

My referees were academic, but I recall most applications instructing applicants what kind of referee is appropriate depending on whether the applicant is still in school or has graduated and worked prior to applying to the programme.
