Hi,
Does anyone know if there are any institutions which provide distance education for this LPC ? Also, the training contract requirement, are we required to undertake it in UK itself or is it possible we undertake this in international law firms in other countries?
Thank you.

As far as I know, there is no institution in England and Wales that provides distance learning for LPC. I know you can undertake the programme on part-time basis if that suits you as far as your other commitments are concerned.
With regard to the Training Contract, I presumme you could do it under any recognised international law firm. But I am not quite certain about this and I suggest you contact the Law Society or Solicitors Regulatory Authority for proper clarification and advice.

Hi Thomas, thank you for your input. I have actually checked the accredited schools offering LPC courses as well and noted that they do not offer distance education too. I doubt part-time will be suitable for me because I am residing in Singapore and part-time studies would require me to fly down UK on every weekend, which will be really costly!
I am trying to search for the contact of SRA but cannot seem to find it in their website. Do you happen to have the contact for both the SRA and LawSoc?
Thanks alot, Thomas! :)

I am also interested to know the contact of both of them. I have a graduate law degree but from a civil law country, and therefore I guess I would need to have GDL and LPC. Can we have training contracts for both of them? Then I guess they both last 2 years each?
