Ive never been to any of those unis, sorry!
However, based on what Ive seen in other posts, Id say Leeds for graduate studies would be a better choice. Sussex, nevertheless, do have better rankings but taking into account that those regard only undergraduate studies, Id vote for Leeds.
Not quite what you need, but I hope I have helped in any way

I don't know these unis any better than beicon does but I have a few suggestions - since the Schools seem to be fairly equal in quality, and assuming you are happy with the themes of the degrees on offer, you might want to investigate other factors.
For instance, the weather in the South of England is VERY different from the weather in the North. In Leeds you can expect to be cold and wet much of the year... Brighton has great quality of life and is in fact considered a very desirable town. It is very progressive and recently elected the only Green MP in the UK and also has a good arts community to mention a couple of things - it also has some big annual events that might be of interest to students. Finally, it is not far from London. On the other hand, if money is a concern you may want to check living costs for thetwo cities, my guess is that these are higher in Brighton than in Leeds.
Just a few ideas - I don't know what is important to you personally so i just mention a few factors that you may not have considered yet.

I honestly don't have any clue about the reputation of these two universities outside UK - maybe if you mention the country someone else might know but the best thing is to ask people you know and maybe some potential employers or the bar association or the careers service at your university...
Oh and I should add that all LLMs are difficult and if they were not, they would not be worth doing...!
