Yo!,
King's crew, have you guys noticed how terrible the kings website is compared to UCL.
The law department at UCL has all the reading lists, timetables etc and KIngs has none.
We should complain

Oh, there's the real you! ;-) Yes, we should complain, as a general rule, but do you really want to start reading already? :-P Would be nice to have timetables, though...

Hey Nicky,
Thats not me, thats Ralph Wilde(UCL). He will be teaching me United Nations law.
I dont plan to do any study, I am just concerned that we are supposed to be competing with UCL and their website is comprehensive and ours is terrible.
By the way, are you attending all the inductions or only the KCL induction?

Wow, he looks young to be teaching. Anyway, you're right about the website, I'm also quite annoyed by it. However, a lot of the information we need is on the UoL website (intercollegiate LLM). Hm, I think I'll only be at the KCL induction and the intercollegiate induction day on 30 September. How about you?

Alright there Legal Gangsta
I wouldn't worry too much about the relative quality of the websites. I did the LLm at UCL a couple of years back, but the best course I did was at KCL (International and Comparative trusts, which was excellent although pretty challenging).
I also took one of Doc Wilde's courses (International Protection of Human Rights) and while he does have excellent academic credentials he was a pretty poor lecturer. A lot of the students thought he was arrogant and treated his class with disdain. Having said that, I heard from friends that he was better on the UN law course....

Hey guys!
I did my LLM at King's in 2003-2004. It wast the best experience of my life!. I took two courses at UCL (Law & Economics of Regulated Industries, Networks and Markets / International Lawe of Natural Resources) and two at KCL (Financial Services and Financial Regulations in Europe and International Arbitration). All the lecturers were great, altough it is a bit difficult to understand the British style at the begining.
Regarding the places to live, I would strongly reccomend to stay close to the places where you will attend to your lectures. I lived for six months in Notting Hill, great neighborhood, and 4 months at Connought Hall in Tavistock Square. I assure you that it was much better to be in Tavistock Square than in Notting Hill just because I did not have to take the tube and was very close to the IALS, KCL, KCL library in Chancery Lane and UCL.
Please do not miss the Thursdays at the Old Bank of England!!! you will get a very good time there!
Be prepared for the best experience of your lifes and congratulations for choosing the UoL.
