King's acceptance

patomtz

Hi I have a query regarding the reco letters.

I applied online using scanned copies of my reco letters since it wasnt possible for my recommenders to submit recos online. Is that acceptable? Should I send the hard copies immediately or wait till they ask for it?

bugai22, yes it is acceptable, I did it the same way. If they offer you a place it will be conditioned to you sending them your original documents. So, wait untill you hear from them.

Regards,

Patricio

Ya, sure will do that and all the best to everybody....I think we all will receive the confirmation more or less at the same time.

bugai22, that is correct. In other posts I detailed my application process, but in summary, I did it online, received a conditional offer (subject to sending original documents) and then the unconditional offer (King's was my first choice, so I accepted right away).

Don't worry about the timing. King's went on vacation for a couple of weeks, so their review process was most likely stopped during such time; and I presume that when they returned to work, first they had to go through all the applications that were submitted during their absence, after which they should get to review yours.

Bugai22, I submitted my application online on the 4th of December and didn't get any reply until last Monday when I sent KCL an email. They informed me that they received my application but there were no attached documents. I can't imagine what I did wrong, but they suggested me to post the hard-copy versions instead. I posted it the next day but now I am afraid I won't get the KCL decision before late Feb and I know the Brit Council scholarship will be decided early March and the Brit Council only gives scholarships to those candidates who has unconditional offers :(
So my suggestion is: send them an email and check if you didn't have a similar problem. Good luck!
