All the unis you mentioned are very good. In my opinion I would choose either Durham or Queen Mary. Queen Mary has very good reputation but I think Durham is better. Both are good choises.
It depends more on the subject you want to specialize, the professors at each university, the prices and which one offerts better and more extracurricular activities you can join and make the best of your LLM experience.
Once again dont focus only on the university itself but on the specific course you want to specialize. Ive heard that Queen Mary is very good for IP Law and Durham is the best for Commercial/Trade Law.
Good luck :O)

thanks pucca! this is kinda weired because my twin sister is going with me to study abroad so we are having hard time deciding which one is better the weired thing is that i am attaracted to the commercial law at durham university and my sister is dieing to study at queen mary! lol

You don't have to study at the same University just because you are twins. You know...it's time to develop your own interests.

but, its kinda expensive that each one of us study at different institutions.. think about it.. same flat and the deducted percentage from the tuition fees..etc believe me it counts!

I totally understand you beeba, if you both study at the same uni the costs are reduced significantly so in that sense I support your point of view. On the hand you should also consider that we are talking here about your professional future and it one of you is interested in commercial law and the other one in maritime law then it means that maybe one of you will end up studying something they dont really like and will regret this decision, Im sure of this. There is nothing worse that working in a field you are not passionate about and which you do enjoy.
But what you could do if then just choose the same uni but different courses since I dont think this wil be too much of a difference in costs as far as I know.
Good luck with your decision and I wish you the best :o)

Hey guys, some suggestions:
I have received an offer from City University for LLM in commercial Law and also from Glasgow and Kent and Birmingham, Nottingham (conditional), Manchester (conditional).... for a similar progamme....!!
(I have applied to UCL, KCL, QMUL, no response yet)
What would you conisder City or glasgow and the others?
I was planning to accept the offer of City University as it is placed in London and it gives me a hope of gaining a internship.
But considering its ranking in different sites i am confused.
I wanna practice in UK for 1-2 years and then return to my country.
So which one would you suggest?
Also i have heard that these rankings are mainly LLB rankings and not for LLM programmes. Is it true?

Hey,
It is true, those rankings do reflect a lot more on the LL.B than on LL.M. The LL.M is much more related to the RAE ( Research Assessment Exercise) rankings, just google RAE 2008 Law and you will find the most recent results. Hopefully this will give you a better idea.
Hope this helps and good luck choosing!

Well I googled and i have found the RAE offical law rankings on the guardian.co.uk site..(http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/table/2008/dec/18/rae-results-2008-law-degree) ! But i am still confused because:
The times law Ranking, Guardian law Ranking and Good Universities law Ranking show that University of Kent is ranking between 26-31 in the UK....whereas under the RAE law ranking...Kent is considered ranking 6 that is better than Cambridge and Edinburgh....
Simiarly, Kings College London is ranked about 20th in the list...
Also, SOAS is ranked beyond 33rd in the list...!!!
can someone please check this list and let me whether its trust worthy or not...!!
Is there any other way to check the ranking of the Universities in relation to LLM programmes ?
