Hi!
I am a lawyer from Caracas, Venezuela. Have been working with Human Rights issues and refugees for almost two years.
I have applied to several schools to pursue an LLM in Human Rights. I was accepted to all, but after considering multiple factors, I decided I wanted to study at the UK.
So it's now between King's College and Essex. I know most people would choose KCL over Essex, but I am interested in pursuing a Master's degree in Human rights, humanitarian Law and refugee issues. In this sense, I believe I have to consider Essex because of their recognized prestige in Human Rights. But I still don't know which one to choose. KCL is one of UK's top Universities, it's located in London and they have interesting modules in HR. Essex is in Colchester, its cheaper, it is not a Top U, and it offers a lot of subjects of my interest.
what do you think I should do?
thanks!!!!
KCL or Essex??

You might consider which one just won the enormously prestigious Queen's Medal for its contribution to human rights across the globe over the past 25 years: http://www.essex.ac.uk/human_rights_centre/news_and_seminars/newsEvent.aspx?e_id=1391

KCL is more prestigous in general, but in Human Rights Essex is one of the most regarded institutions in Europe . So I would go to Essex.
