KCL or Edinburgh?

I have been offered a general LLM in KCL and Edinburgh. My areas of interest are Commercial law and Intellectual Property law. I did my undergraduate law degree outside the UK and so I'm not sure which LLM would be the most valuable to me. I see from rankings that both are top ten universities in the UK. But in terms of London law firms, which would be the most recognised?

Both programmes are excellent. I think an important consideration is lifestyle in addition to the programme. I had to choose also between London and Edinburgh and went with Edinburgh. The lecturers are top in IP and are eager to assist students...very easily approached! Edinburgh has a dedicated research centre in IP (AHRC) http://www.law.ed.ac.uk/ahrc/ which is a huge benefit to IP students in that the reseach topics are at the forefront of practice. LLM students have a lot of interaction with the PhDs at the centre as well, which is helpful if you are interested in publishing or presenting at conferences in order to boost your CV.
Edi is a fabulous city and you needn't worry about transit as everything is walkable, unlike London. It is also considerably less expensive than London.
Twice (both LLM and PhD) I chose Edi over London.
Hope this helps a bit. Best of luck!
