Hello everyone!
Have been accepted at KCL and MJur at Oxford and am now in a real muddle. I know these topics have been partially discussed in other posts, but could do with any up to date knowledge or opinions. Basically I have two questions:
a. Taking into account that I want to study EU and competition law, which programme would you choose?
Obviously the KCL one is a lot more specialized in competition law and has Richard Whish. However, it seems a bit difficult to turn down Oxford, because of its incredible prestige. What would/have you done, when being in the same situation? Which one would make it easier to get into big law firms working in this area of law? Would they prefer the inmense prestige of the one or the very specialised programme of the other?
b. Is the MJur definetly less prestigious than BCL? Do people in Oxford and in law firms perceive it as worse?
Any help would be appreciated!
Good luck with your applications!
Carlos
