KCL

I seemed to have posted this in the wrong board previously. I meant to post it here: I was offered a place today (conditional offer) and now I am wondering what to do. The problem is that I need to achieve 80% in my Diploma (Dutch LLB), but I am probably only going to be able to make it 70%. Is there anyone who previously applied and missed the requirement and still got in? I would like to know whether there are any problems if I accept the offer and at the same time accept other offers (as a back up). KCL doesn't seem to require any prior payments so I thought I could accept the offer and take a chance :)
Thanks for your opinions!

If you scroll down to Ryker's post on Jan. 15 at 4:20 P.M. here, the second of your questions (re: accepting more than one offer) was litigated quite extensively by me and others.

With respect to your first question, you may need to contact KCL directly. I understand this is a second-best solution, however, at least until you know from other respondents here what KCL is likely to say in response, and so, I hope you do get some responses. Unfortunately, I am unable to help you, as I have no first-hand knowledge of your circumstances.

I know its not the same thing, but my fiancée asked for a partial waiver regarding her condition (English Language Requirement KCL requires a 7.0, with no less than 7.0 in each sub-test. My fiancée got a 7.0, with one 6.5) and they said no. Straight away, no argument there they simply said theres no English Requirement waiver at KCL.

hi coffee_sunshine. i have a similar problem..got a conditional offer and i probably will be falling short of the required %age by 2-3 % and i have no idea as to whether they will negotiate on this. have you communicated with KCL about this? i did accept the conditional offer. plz let me know of any updates on this.

Sorry swati, I didn't contact them yet, as I am awaiting my examination results at the moment. But as you already noticed, some other board members have suggested to contact the admission office directly and it appears to be the only solution, so good luck to you!
