Hello All,
I'm new to this website and wanted a few clarifications. I'm currently pursuing my B.A.LL.B. from India. My percentage at the end of 8 semesters is 61.9% ( Although I have submitted my 8th semester marks for revaluation and it should increase to atleast 62%) Further, I appeared for my IELTS examination and secured a 7.5 band with atleast 7 or more in all 4 sections. I have already applied to LSE, Kings College and Queen Mary University of London. I further intend on applying to UCL. I rank within the top 10% of my class and have held various important positions ( All related to sports as I am an athlete/sportsman in my College).
Do I stand a chance in the above stated Colleges? I have never mooted before, though I have participated in two conferences.
Any advise would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

I think you stand a good chance. Being in the top 10% of your class, having extra-curricular activities and with a good IELTS score, I reckon you have a pretty decent shot! Best of luck.

Just to complement my previous post, I never mooted either and still got offers from KCL, QML and UCL...

But I must add, both my LORs state as follows:
"He is ranked amongst the top 5 of his class."
"He holds one of the topmost positions in his batch."
It does not specify the 'percent' as such, although if calculated my class rank would be within the top 10%. Would that be ok? Also, I have just posted another query with regard to the length of my personal statement. Would be glad if you could address that as well.

Also, Like LSE and UCL, do my referees need to fill up an online reference feedback form for KCL AND QMUL? Or will the scanned copy uploaded by me during my online application process suffice?
Thanks in advance. :)
Thanks in advance. :)

On the % thing. I don't think you need to have the actual % anywhere. I certainly didn't. My referees only stated basically the same thing as yours did: he's a top "x" student, he's above average and that kind of thing. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.
Regarding the reference form, for KCL and QML I also uploaded only the scanned copies without any reference form whatsoever. So I wouldn't worry about that either. I think you're fine.
Best of luck.

Thanks Beicon. So no online reference portal for KCL or QMUL right? Also, I would be much obliged if you could answer my query titled 'Personal Statement-Length'.
Which College did you finally attend btw?
