Hello all,
I've been accepted to the Geneva Academy, Nottingham and Essex. I got a no from LSE and am still waiting on UCL (much like many of you). I have decided to withdraw my acceptance to Geneva as I want to do a broader human rights degree than one focused solely on humanitarian law and armed conflict. Any thoughts on Nottingham v Essex from a human rights llm perspective, or views on how easy it would be to get a job afterwards?

I'm not sure about human rights explicitly but Nottingham is by far the better law school. That might help in respect to your job prospects.

If you do a search for "human rights" or "Essex" on this site you will see numerous posts where it mentions that Essex is one of the leading institutions worldwide (and certainly in the UK) regarding the study of human rights. The Essex-Nottingham debate comes up frequently also, and in my understanding, most people providing advice on the question recommend Essex.

Hey Poppet, yes so I've discovered! I think it has to be Essex...
Thanks,
