Hi
I'm a 4th year LLB student in a top ten law school in India with 2 years of law school remaining. I'm not in the top 10% but you could say I'm somewhere in the top 30%. I've interned with some advocates, solicitors and law firms. I'll be using the next 2 years to work on recommendations and publications. Considering my grades aren't top notch, and the level of competition in India, I have some questions.
Should I apply for an LLM in Oxford, Cambridge, Kings college, UCL, etc., immediately after I graduate? If so, what can I do to make my profile have a better chance of getting selected?
OR
Should I get some work experience for a couple of years and then apply to these universities, considering that work experience could possibly compensate for my lack of top grades.
If yes, what kind of work ex would appeal to these universities? Working with an advocate/solicitor, a big law firm, a judge? What kind of experience would attract them the most?
Also, when it comes to recommendations, what sort of references are they looking for and how many? I know most applications require two, but what if you have one really good reference, or 3-4 decent references?

Any kind of guidance is most welcome.
