Hello,

i know a few people here work for universities so i was wondering if they could maybe help me out..
First thing is im doing my Master currently in France and throgh the years ive always got grades superior to 12/20 that would be lower second class honours? only this year first semester i got 11.9 / 20 until now..isnt it possible to apply for UCL for example who asks for honours in the last year?

Second question is more classical i havent passed my IELTS yet and i can only pass it either in June or July..are they universities allowing this?

thank you for your answers

I cannot comment on UCL's approach but I do postgraduate admissions at another institution. Regarding grades, I take the view that a 2,1 is equivalent to 'good' in ECTS terms, which seems to equate to 12.5 and above. If you are close to this mark, it may still be worth applying especially if you have particular strengths in your chosen field of further study. As regards English language, I think most universities would be happy to give you an offer conditional upon you acquiring a particular grade in your English language test.
