Hi,
I got an unconditional offer from Glasgow last year but decided to go Edinburgh. I got 3 offers from Scottish universities (Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen). I'd say that I prefer Edinburgh, but If I didn't get uncon offer from Edinburgh, I would go to Glasgow instead. Although the ranking of Glasgow is not too high, I think Glasgow is a good university as well.

I received an Unconditional offer from glasgow University without even completing my LLB degree in India...is it normal....?? I have applied to other universities like Manchester, UCL, KCL, QMUL, etc...!!!
Manchester has given me a conditional offer (condition- min. 55% in LLB)....
What should i do ???

yes i realise that we are given a place in these college even when we are in the final semester of our bachelors in Law degree.....but that is always conditional...! I have never heard of anyone yet get an unconditional offer before finishing LLB degree...! Usually every university gives a simple condition to complete your bachelors degree before granting the UNconditional offer.

I have applied on 5th March to KCL, QMUL, UCL, Nottingham, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Manchester, Kent, Nottingham Trent.
Universities have asked aa 4-5 weeks time to decide the applications....so i am waiting eagerly....!! Was a little shocked with glasgows early and positive response....Same with Manchester...but in Manchester i received conditional offer....so still waiting for the others to reply...!!
Whatt about you ?

I think you have a misconnection or there is typographical error in your post...!!
Unconditional means....no conditions at all.....nothing else is required by the University....you just pay your deposit or fees and you can register yourself for the programme. In this situation it does no matter with what precentage or how you have finished your present degree. Rather it does even matter whether you finish your present degree or not...though it is always advisable to finish it instead of leaving it and going abroad.
Conditional means...there may be (i) General Condition: You have to pass your current Degree by sep 2009. (ii) Specific Condition: You have to pass your Current Degree with 55% or 60% by sep 2009....
So in Glasgow is received Unconditional.
and Manchester has put a condition that I should have an aggregate of 55% at the end of my LLB programme.
What did you hear from Nottingham and Cardiff, Southampton, Birmingham and Durham ?

I don't dunno exacly what to do...? I am completely confused.
I have applied to all Universities for Commercial / Corporate Law Programmes:
I have recieved an unconditional offer from
(i) Glasgow University
(ii) City University
(iii) Nottingham Trent University
(iv) Kent University
But City is asking me to pay a non-refundable deposit of £750 for registration within the next 3 weeks.
And UCL, QMUL, KCL have not yet replied
I have Conditional offers from Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham (But there is very little hope to fulfill the condition)...!
What should i do? If you recommend me to accept an unconditional offer. Which unconditional offer should i accept?
City, Glasgow, Kent, NTU ?
Will any the these Universities any problems with the VISA process.
P.S. I wish to work in law firm immediately after graduating in UK. And it will be great i can get chance to work while i am studying (I am on personal funding). Your early response will be very helpful.
Also i have heard that these rankings are mainly LLB rankings and not for LLM programmes. Is it true?
