As I understand, after earning a LL.M, one studies for PPC1 and PPC2 exams while working a trainee solicitor in a law firm which you have successfully applied to. During this time (two years following graduation) are you given a living wage in Ireland?
I ask this because I recently became aware that barristers must fulfill a one to two year pupillage or devilling with an experienced Barrister, the first year of which is unpaid and must be completed in Dublin. Is this process drastically different for solicitors? Thank you in advance.
