Hi guys
I have applied for the GDL for 2009 start. I want to ask about the next step (assuming someone accepts me!).
I am a non-law graduate already with 10 years work experience.
So my questions:
- Should I be applying for Training Contracts now? Or with no Law experience is it more realitic to be applying during my GDL year (or even the LPC year)?
- I have a 2.2 degree, am I wasting my time if I apply for TC's with companies that require a 2.1? Or could 10 years (decent) work experience make that requirement flexible?
- At what stage do I need to focus in on which area of law I want to specialise in? From other posts it seems you need to be focused to stand any chance of a TC/Pupilage, but at the same time the point of that period seems to be to allow you to taste different areas of law so that you can then decide where to focus. So I am little unsure how focused I need to be (as a non-law grad its pretty tricky to know which field is best for me).
thanks a lot for any help!
GDL timetable advice please
