Hi everybody.
What do you think about the possibility to combine a full time LLM with paralegal job in London?
Would it be too much difficult or not, considering exams, lessons etc...?
Cheers.

hi me shahzad
i think its not difficult to work along with full time LLm. if you can manage it then nothing is impossible or difficult. YOu should do work with LLM its imporatant for your upcoming life too without that you become fatty lol

IMHO you should think twice about doing that. Well, of course it depends on how many hours you will be working in that job and how flexible you can be there..., if it´s only a couple hours per week then it should work well. But if it´s a real job with let´s say 20+ hours per week then I wouldn´t do it. This is time you will need at a certain point. Well, I myself will try to get a wee little job while being in Glasgow too, I don´t really care what, just for some extra cashola and to get in contact with some more *real* Glaswegians, but I won´t take a job that will take too much time and effort. In my current job I am working 60 hours per week, I don´t need that while being up there too. You don´t only want to study and work 100 percent of your time, the LL.M. year is more!

To be honest, I tend to get lazy if I do not work. It is very weird but I find if you have too much spare time on your hands, you tend to waste alot of time. Of course, anything more than 20 hours per week would probably not be realistic because you need time to study.
I'd say, if the job is one or two days per week 8 hours per day - go for it. The experience is invaluable,

Thank you guys, I agree with you, considering that more than 15-20 hours a week would be unreal.
But do exist law firms that allow you work only 15 hours a week as a paralegal? Or the only possibilities are pubs, restaurants ecc ecc???
