Tinson Scholarships: for postgraduate taught law students from the former Soviet Bloc. This fund is for all fees.
Abbey Santander Master Scholarships for taught postgraduate study. There are five scholarships of £5000 available and will be awarded on the basis of academic merit to students who would not otherwise be able to take up a place at Essex.These scholarships are for students from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay and Venezuela only and who have graduated from certain universities.
£1000 Towards Living Costs: Students from Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Romania and Lithuania will automatically receive £1,000 towards living costs while studying in the UK. Further information on the University of Essex Student Finance website.
Also Giulia Mereu Scholarship
[for LLM in International Human Rights Law and LLM in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law ONLY]
The aim of the scholarship is to enable those who might otherwise not be able to study the discipline of human rights to do so and to ensure that Giulia Mereu's ideals live on. This scholarship, instituted in 1997, covers the equivalent of home/EU tuition fees for the academic year as well as a modest allowance to enable the recipient to undertake a one-month internship with a human rights organisation. The deadline date for applications is Friday 10 June 2011. It is expected that all applicants for the Giulia Mereu Scholarship will have sought funding elsewhere.
