Hello everyone,
I am currently studying law in Germany and will finish next year.
Now I have started to prepare my applications for a LLM. I would love to study at Edinburgh law school or at queen Mary in London.
I have seen that Edinburgh requires a 2:1 honours degree across all relevant subjects. I already sent them an email if this is a strict rule.
They said no, but usually would look at it anyway.
Now I wanted to know what you think about it: Should I still apply for it?
I mean I have good grades as well, but unfortunately In the first years of studying a few degrees which are like 4 or 5 points.
I don't think that they are representative for my ability to do well in a Postgraduate Programme, but do you think that they will sort me out?
Do you have any experiences with that?
The biggest problem I have with all the applications is that I have absolutely no idea how difficult it is to get an offer.
Could somebody help me with that? Is there still a chance to get an offer from Edinburgh or London?
Assumed that I will have more than 8 points in the first exam of course.
Thanks a lot!

Assessing German applicants, British universities mainly focus on the first exam. Your chances for QMUL should be very good, if you achieve eight points. I assume Edinburgh should work out aswell.
