I was just accepted to Durham University, and I need to decide if I want to change my college or not.
In fact, I was admited to Ustinov College.
Could someone who have been there give some information about the best college to stay there?
Cheers

i was accepted in josephine butler college. i don't have any inkling if this is the best choice. i am about to pay my reservation deposit and perhaps, i just felt lazy changing the college and applying anew.
perhaps, those who have been to durham may be in a better position to put in theit two cents' worth.

Dear all,
I stayed in St. Hilde and Bede for 1 month and in Ustinov for 12. In my opinion the big difference between Ustinov and all the other colleges is that in ustinov u will be sorrounded by students over 22 (but the average is even higher), while in the other colleges students are very young (cause they are undergrad). I was 30 when i got there, and i thought was the right choice...and i still think it was. In fact, i attended some time events in other colleges and i felt a bit out of place (cause of my age).
Ustinov and Buttler are the newest colleges which means that buildings should still be very clean.
They are also the farest coleges from the centre (still with a bus is 5 minutes there and i often walked there).
Hilde and Bede is an old college, with old bedrooms but located in a wonderful area very close to the centre.
Hope it is of some help.
Good luck
