Hi. I had applied for LLM in Durham University and they have offered me a conditional offer (clear the IELTS exam ). But I have been applying in oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Birmingham, and Queen mary university and they will send the offer letter a bit late. What should I do, should I accept the offer. How is the Law course there and the teaching. Plz let me know who has been there. thank u
From what I have read you can accept the offer which helps your application and to secure a place, afterwards if you get into another university and prefer to go there, you can withdraw or cancel your acceptance.
I have gotten accepted into Edinburgh and have accepted the place, in the unconditional offer they mention that accepting does not mean I am commiting to assist until further down next year. Dont know if Durham allows this as well. I havent finished my application yet.
Yet, I am waiting for Cambridge but to be honest Durham is my last choice and will only be applying because its a requirement for the chevening scholarship. Its mostly a personal choice really, it appears Durham has a solid program (very interesting one in International Law), the city looks fantastic and seems like it has the proper reputation.
Good luck on IELTS, I was a bit worried myself but I just cleared it with an 8.
