Degree from Austria

Hello,

I held my first law degree from an austrian university- but we do not really obtain a class of degree. We also have a very different grading system, so that I don`t know if my marks accord a 2.1. honors degree.

I would be pleased if anybody could help me.

Hi christoph, the University of Toronto use an equivalency table which is accepted by quite a few universities.

I used to teach at a university and was a member of an admissions board (when I taught economics). Anyway, our university used to require a minimum of a 2:1 which is the standard most good universities in the UK will seek.

Anyway the Austrian equivalent works out at:

*Four year Bachelor's Degree Equivalent: Diplom-Ingenieur, Magister.
*Mid-B Equivalent: Gut, or 2/5 on a reverse scale.
