This is a call to all Canadians who intend to accept offers at Cambridge for the 2008-2009 LLM.
I am from Vancouver. I will most likely be in St. Johns (I was admtted thee last year, but, unlike the Law School, the College wouldn't defer my offer so I've reapplied).
Also, any word on funding from anyone?

From Alberta. Considering applying to defer this year - can you offer any insights on doing this? Do all colleges make you re-apply?
No word on funding yet.
Thanks

Got the offer - considering if it's worth the $$$.

Congratulations! What a wonderful opportnity/experience
Have you explored scholarships/bursaries or is there not much out there? I thought the fees would be on par with law schools in Canada or even less if you only need 2 years.
Do you mind if I ask - what is required if you come back to Canada to practice? Another full time year? more?
I am asking these questions on behalf of my daughter who would like to go to Cambridge so would really appreciate your perspective
Thanks

As long as one is licensed in their jurisdiction it should be no problem to return to practise.
Equity's Darling - what about Oxford, or are you set on Cambridge?

blueprint--I am set on Cambridge. I'm attratced to the town and not keen on the tutorial system. Having practived law for a few years I think I'd prefer to take course more on my own.

I am still considering both. Cambridge has a strong pull (as does the town), but then again so does Oxford's tutorial system (notwithstanding that it may be a significant pain). Have been in practise, too, and take your point about the tutorial system.
