I was wondering if someone could advise me whether I had a realistic chance of successfully getting into the Cambridge LLM program. In summary, I obtained a first class honours LLB from a leading Australian university (top 5% for my cohort) and have a training contract from a 'magic circle' firm over in London. I am currently deciding whether to apply to Cambridge for next year.

I think you stand a good shot. I just got in with similar qualifications. Although Im from canada so i have a BA before the LLB. but from my understanding they compare applicants with those from their home country. So if most aussies go right into an llb and apply to cantab on the strenght of that plus their work experience (and your magic circle contract will go a long way in that catagory), then you shoukld have a good shot since, by defination, your grades are better than 95% of aussie applicants.
