Likewise, my status just changed to 'awaiting decision by the board of graduate studies' as well. Seems like they are well over the deadline and still processing, so don't lose hope!

Thank you for the update! My fingers are getting sore from keeping them crossed for so long though... But this Cambridge dream might still come true, so I'll still be checking my CAMsis account an insane amount of times today (again) :-P

My status was updated to "Awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies" a few minutes ago from "Under consideration by the Degree Committee"

About bloody time!

No idea what this means and I guess the waiting game continues but at least it indicates that someone has actually looked at my application. I was beginning to have my doubts.

Best of luck to everyone else waiting.

Hey everyone! Got conditional offer made also a couple of hours ago :)

I think this might be enlightening for current and future applicants.

26 February (I think): "awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies"

3 March: "awaiting approval by BGS"

17 March: "conditional offer made"

Yes, the wait was very nerve-wracking. I contacted the University about the awaiting approval status and they told me that they had some queries with the faculty about my application, and depending on their answer the graduate office would either make me an offer or reject.

So yes, although it is not possible to predict what is the nature of the query (can be something small or big), it is possible (at least in theory) to get rejected if you obtain the "awaiting approval" status.

Although, again, I have not found online any report of anyone being rejected to the LLM programme once you get to the "awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies", or even the "awaiting approval".

But if you ask me why I got the status... well... my best guess is that they didn't like the fact that my English certificate would expire before classes started. So as part of the conditional offer I have to take a new test. Shouldn't be too difficult :)

Good luck for everyone else and I hope this clarification is useful!

Hey, when did you do your language test? Did u obtain your bachelor from a UK University?

Im currently awaiting the decision of the BoGs but I do not fulfil the language criteria (only 101 TOEFL online), however my bachelor was entirely in English (4 years). Do you guys think I can be the first case to be rejected at this famous BoGS stage?:D

I took my English test Mid-2014. And I took my bachelor in non-UK Universities. However I have several publications written in English, and experience in research projects in English, so I guess that helped.

I imagine the fact that you took your Bachelor entirely in English will be very helpful. And I think I remember reading somewhere on this forum of an applicant that got accepted without an English test (they just asked that person to take a new one).

So if your application meets all other criteria, I imagine (and hope) that they will just ask you to take a new test.

Thanks so much! I also have some publications plus I live and work abroad where I use English only, so I hope they will look at that, not only the TOEFL result.

My status has finally changed to "awaiting decision from BOGs" around 11:00pm (Jakarta time) yesterday..should be around 05:00pm (UK time). I will be waiting anxiously for the offer.

So, yes I think they are still working on the results (after the lapse of 15 March), and the fact if anyone has not heard anything from them (nor received any rejection), I do believe it is kinda' good news, because in the website they said the outcome for unsuccessful results will be obtained much earlier. Just my two cents though :D

Do the BOGs only issue conditional offer? or anyone has received unconditional offer so far (if one is possible)?

I know the offer will always be subject to financial conditions etc., but nevertheless other universities still put "unconditional offer" on the heading of the letter.

Thanks!

So it's another 7 business days for the final result (as per their website) exhale....(heavily)
