Hi all :)
So has anyone received paperwork from their college yet? The camsis site states that I've received an offer (from Jesus), but I'm yet to see the materials and I'm getting nervous...

Hey, from last year (and bearing in mind I'm not at Jesus) it could be a while. I woudn't be overly concerned. If there's a reason you need particular information get in touch if not hang in there and I'm sure you'll get word soon.

I wouldn't worry, my self-service page hasn't been updated yet and I learnt of my offer 5 weeks ago. Don't have a clue what college i'm getting, hope it's a good one. I'm told almost all LLM candidates get their first choice unless there is unusually high demand.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for my self service to update and get official offer. Its such a pain. This is week 6 and still nothing since first e-mail. Graduate studies have not received my papers but law fac thinks they should have them. Getting pressure from an American Law school to send on documents, but not comfortable withdrawing from that course until I can see what formal conditions are gonna be for Cambridge. I had accepted other school before I heard from Cambridge, but am anxious to withdraw soon. I just dont understand why its taking so long. And since my papers havent been seen by Graduate Studies, they havent been sent to the colleges yet either and I dont want to be put into random selection pool either. ARGH.

Irishguy 23,
What's the hurry to withdraw from the "American School." Besides the $250 (or whatever it is) fee, is there any other hardship? Why not just hold on to both until August?

Well I think it would be kind of a shitty thing to do, given that there are people who are dying to go who are on a waitlist. I want someone to get my place. I was on a waitlist once and I know how it feels. Would never hold out on a place I knew for certain I wasnt going to take up. I just need official confirmation from Cambridge. Plus, I dont want to start the visa process only to abandon it half way through. Messy. I also dont want this dragging on for months. I have other stuff to be doing than worrying about this. So, thats why I need this done sooner rather than later.

I still haven't heard anything from a college yet. Has anyone else had an offer, and if so, from which college?

Anyone know when the available classes are listed?
Posted Jul 07, 2006 18:51
The faculty website says from 'July' for the titles of the courses (available by contacting the faculty office) and 'September' for the actual syllabi. Apparently they don't vary greatly from year to year.
Anyone heard of which courses are good/bad, hard/easy etc.?

Hey,
I've heard Family Policy for the LLM is very good but is similar to some courses in terms of only running with sufficient uptake - its a bit weird as a course when most of the others offered are international law orientated
Ive only just signed in so forgive the cluelessness but the strength of the cambridge courses is in international law?
