Just wondering if anyone admitted for 2006-2007 has heard from colleges, particularly Balliol.
Anyone hear from Oxford Colleges (ie: Balliol)?

I haven't heard anything yet either. I recall someone on these boards saying to expect a response by the 20th (or around that time) from first choice colleges, but I guess it depends on how many people have applied - and it looks like Balliol is a popular choice.

I emailed my first choice college today and they told me that I've been admitted. Letter on the way.

Apparantly decisions may take as long as until end of May if people have been placed in the pool.

What's "the pool" ?
What's "the pool" ?

I think he means people who did not get accepted by there first choice college

Do they tell you if you are in the pool? If someone hasn't heard by now, do you reckon they are in the pool or has anyone here been admitted by Balliol? Do you only get put in the pool if you aren't admitted by either of hte two colleges chosen or is it if you don't get admitted by your first choice?
Thanks

I should have known Balliol would be popular. My main reason for applying there was because of its history and the many scholarships for overseas students.
As for the "pool" I understand that if your first college does not accept you, they put those applicants in a pool and find you a place that best matches your needs.

I have chosen the colleges of which I heard nice things...nothing to do about history or so...
